Il gruppo chiamato SACRED LEGION nasce alla fine del Settembre 2017, per volontà di
FABIANO (ex Chants of Maldoror) alla chitarra e voce, MIRKO (ex Human Disease) alla batteria e
TONY VOLUME (ex Idol Lips, anche membro di The Delinquents) al basso e cori.
Il nome della band è stato scelto per loro da Zeena Schreck, icona della controcultura, artista
multimediale e musicista (Radio Werewolf / Zeena Schreck).
L’intento è quello di suonare un dark rock / death rock sincero, potente, crudo ed evocativo, ma al
tempo stesso vario nelle sonorità, attingendo alla tradizione di bands quali Christian Death, Shadow
Project, Samhain, T.S.O.L., The Damned.
Dopo aver registrato un demo di due brani nel 2019 (di cui uno, “Purify”, è stato in seguito pubblicato
nella compilation internazionale “ Sparkles in the Dark Vol.5"), vengono mesi sotto
contratto dall’etichetta polacca BAT CAVE PRODUCTIONS, per la quale è uscito a fine dicembre
2020 “THE SILENT LINEAGE”, il loro primo full-lenght album.
Il disco è stato ottimamente accolto da stampa, radio e siti specializzati internazionali, è
costantemente presente nelle playlist dei dj di tutto il mondo ed è stato inserito tra i
“Best 10 Records of 2020” di DarkItalia.
Fin dall'inizio, i Sacred Legion si sono dedicati ad un'intensa attività live: hanno suonato al festival
internazionale "Return To The Batcave" a Wroclaw (Polonia) e negli ultimi due anni hanno
condiviso il palco con bands come Corpus Delicti, Ausgang, 13th Chime, The Names, Joe Wood
(TSOL), e molti altri.
I Sacred Legion sono attualmente impegnati a completare nuovo materiale per il prossimo album
(ancora senza titolo), di cui è già fuori il primo singolo con video: "Assassin Times".

The band named SACRED LEGION was formed at the end of September 2017, at the behest of
FABIANO (formerly guitarist and founding member of Chants of Maldoror) on guitar and lead
vocals, MIRKO (formerly of Human Disease ) on drums, and TONY VOLUME (formerly of Idol Lips and also
in The Delinquents) on bass and backing vocals.
The band's name was chosen for them by Zeena Schreck (Radio Werewolf / Zeena Schreck),
counterculture icon, multimedia artist and musician.
Sacred Legion’s intent is to play a sincere, powerful, raw and evocative dark rock /death rock , but at
the same time varied in sonority, drawing on the tradition of bands such as Christian Death, Shadow
Project, Samhain, T.S.O.L., The Damned.
After recording a two-tracks demo in 2019 one of which, "Purify", later appeared on the
international compilation "Sparkles in the Dark Vol. 5" 5"), they’ve been signed by BAT CAVE
PRODUCTIONS , for which "THE SILENT LINEAGE", their first full length album , has been
released at the end of December 2020.
The record has been very well received by press, radios and international specialized websites, is
constantly present in the playlists of DJs the world over , and has been included among DarkItalia's
“Best 10 records of 2020”.
Right from the start, Sacred Legion are dedicated to an intense live activity: they have played at
"Return To The Batcave" international festival in Wroclaw (Poland) and in the last couple years
have shared the stage with bands like Corpus Delicti, Ausgang, 13th Chime, The Names, Joe Wood (TSOL),
and many others
Sacred Legion are currently busy both completing new material for the next album (still untitled),
but a new song is already out, with a video: "Assassin Times".
